About
the title: Prepare to die relates to an idea Aaron and I came up with where
heaven and hell could be one of two things.
It might be that for one
moment right before you die, when your entire life flashes before your eyes, like
they say in the movies, you are either pleased and content with how you lived
and conducted yourself, or disappointed and regretful. That moment, being the
last thought before everything goes dark, might decide if you rest in eternal
bliss or pain assuming there is some form of consciousness in death.
The other idea was that heaven and hell are experienced while alive and it's up
to the individual to live a good life if heaven is desired, or live a bad one
if hell is what's wanted. Most likely one of these ideas is exactly correct and
either way, it's probably a good idea to be cool to people and basically follow
the golden rule. (The terms heaven and hell are used here as simple and easily
recognizable states, not as an endorsement of any religion.)
